DGFT Extends Export Deadline for Broken Rice to Senegal Until February 28, 2025

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Notification No. 57 dated 06.02.2025, allowing 1 month extension to export of Broken Rice (ITC(HS) Code: 10064000) to Senegal through the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL). The new deadline is now February 28, 2025.

This extension chnages the timelines stipulated in earlier DGFT notifications, including:

  • Notification No. 46 dated 30.11.2023
  • Notification No. 15/2024-25 dated 05.06.2024
  • Notification No. 42/2024-25 dated 05.12.2024

The latest notification ensures continuity in the bilateral trade arrangement between India and Senegal, particularly in the supply of this essential agricultural commodity.

The order was issued by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade & Ex-Officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India, under the authority granted by the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.

Effect of the Notification:
The export timeline for Broken Rice to Senegal via NCEL has been officially extended to February 28, 2025, facilitating uninterrupted execution of the existing export agreements.
